Stevie Kincade is a vocalist and rapper from Sydney, Australia.
Stevie started writing music at the age of 14 and was fronting various rock bands by the age of 17. After the demise of his teenage rock dreams, Stevie began experimenting in 2005 with incorporating hiphop phrasing and rhyme schemes into his vocal stylings. Inspired by the Sydney hiphop scene Stevie began rapping at underground parties and was a frequent guest performer with Sydney icons King Farook. In November 2008 Stevie played a 35 minute set at the Iron Palace and immediately announced that the entire set would be released as a mixtape for free download. Unable to get the ball rolling with his usual beatmakers and DJ, Stevie turned to the internet to find skilled producers and collaborators. The “free mixtape” idea was scrapped in place of a free 21 track epic album “The Grassy Knoll” featuring international guests and expected to be released later this year. The debut EP “Six-Slug Singles” featuring 4 tracks from the forthcoming LP was released to radio and on Steviekincade.com on July 1st, 2009.
